Configuration¶

Atim reads configuration from ~/.atim/config.toml. On first run, a legacy ~/.atim/.env file is automatically migrated to config.toml.

Environment Variable Overrides¶

Any setting in config.toml can be overridden by the corresponding environment variable.

Each agent can have its own command and arguments override in config.toml:

Per-Chat Settings¶

These can be changed at runtime via /atim config set:

`replyAtOnly`	`false`	In group chats, only respond to @-mentions (ignore other messages)
`defaultAgent`	from config	Override the default agent for this specific chat
`sendToolMessages`	`false`	Deliver agent tool calls and results to this chat. Off by default — only the agent's replies arrive.

Data Directory Structure¶

~/.atim/ contains:

Agent Auto-Detection¶

Atim auto-detects the agent type from the running process in tmux. Supported agents:
